Community College is a great option for students as a first step toward completing their four-year Bachelors degree (IGTEC), or even completing a two-year, Associates degree. It is important to know that students will need to apply to the Community College of their choice. This is often done in the final semester of their senior (12th-grade) year.

Please use the links below to access the online Community College application for the school of your choice.

      Community College - Honors

The Honors Transfer Council of California(HTCC) negotiates special transfer agreements linking community college honors/scholars' programs to specific universities, large or small, public or private.

Students completing these programs enjoy enhanced transfer consideration at the partner-campus, for example, guaranteed or priority acceptance, special scholarships, housing priority, and a range of other academic and social benefits such as library privileges even before transfer.

One of the requirements to be admitted to an Honors Program is the High School cumulative grade point average (GPA).

The High SchoolCumulative GPAincludes all courses 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade; repeated courses are averaged; and an extra (0.025) point is given for AP classes only.  This GPA is used by Community Colleges for entrance into their Honors programs (typically a 3.00 to 3.50 is required).
